Heck, I used to have twin 1600x1200 with 6 virtual desktops on each and multiple VNC sessions (each with multiple desktops). There were 2 primary reasons for this - originally I went the multiple VNC route when you could only get 128 windows per server. Now, with JDS, it's a pain having many more than a dozen windows per desktop, as then the window buttons in the bottom panel become congested and eventually you can't read them. This is especially an issue when you have hundreds of otherwise identical terminal windows.
