Hello Gurus;
I understand that Sun is now selling OEM Emulex HBAs.
Yes, go over to the Sun web site and follow the links to the store,
which will give you model numbers. I use QLogic (mainly) and some
Emulex, but I have yet to use Leadville for Emulex. Leadville for
QLogic works well.
Does this mean my long wait for Leadville complaint drivers for
Emulex HBAs (LP9002, LP9802-DCE is now over?
The above has some signficant implications.
Not sure what you mean by that.
I have not been able to use STMS with Emulex HBAs since their
drivers are non Leadville.
If Sun releases the Leadville drivers (Sun SAN 4.4.7?), does this
mean I can now do away with Veritas DMP and/or PowerPath? (Both of
which I intensly dislike, particularly PP).
Not sure. I use DMP with QLogic HBAs. I'm currently testing QLA2460
(Sun's branded 4Gb) on Solaris 10 U1 x86 with VxVM 4.1 and it works
well so far. I have no plans to test Emulex at the moment.
I really like scsi_vhci's single LUN concept.
Has anyone here done a fiber boot with STMS as yet? I understand
you are not allowed to run commands like devfsadm -C?
Nope, never have run STMS, and I'm not sure what that is.
How then to clear old links in such a situation?
Warmest Regards
