Just a minor clarification - although the proposed OpenSolaris process does have many similarities to the Solaris process, it is not in fact based on the Solaris process. It was developed organically, while looking at many types of open-source projects, with the intent of creating a process for developing an operating system with the constraints listed in the Fundamentals section.
