Unless you're actually referring to SUNWCreq ("Core System Support"),
I'm not sure what you mean by "main."

Possibly.  But it still has meaning for how the system is managed and
how those products evolve.

Things that are bundled are essentially supposed to share fate with
the OS itself.  Things that are unbundled don't, and can have their
own patch/release schedules, their own support terms, and their own
EOL plans.

I think those terms still have meaning even when there are multiple
distributions.  Each distribution must determine what parts it wants
to include as "bundled" (released and shipped) with the OS it defines.
