Unless you're actually referring to SUNWCreq ("Core System Support"), I'm not sure what you mean by "main." > "Unbundled" I guess is approximately "separately bought" or "separately > licensed", but that is icky terminology these days too. Possibly. But it still has meaning for how the system is managed and how those products evolve. Things that are bundled are essentially supposed to share fate with the OS itself. Things that are unbundled don't, and can have their own patch/release schedules, their own support terms, and their own EOL plans. I think those terms still have meaning even when there are multiple distributions. Each distribution must determine what parts it wants to include as "bundled" (released and shipped) with the OS it defines. -- James Carlson, KISS Network <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sun Microsystems / 1 Network Drive 71.232W Vox +1 781 442 2084 MS UBUR02-212 / Burlington MA 01803-2757 42.496N Fax +1 781 442 1677 _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
