Hi Sara,
given the holiday time, I simply think 7th of August is a very tight
deadline to get some meaningful results we can later vote on, would you
mind extending the submission deadline to the end of August?

P.S. making the tiemline so short will not press people in producing the
logo fast, it will merely make them produce non-quality logos or not
participate at all

All submissions must be in by midnight PT Monday August 7th. Selections
will be made by by the OpenSolaris web team on Tuesday August 8th and

The only things that we request of any submission:
- is original artwork to avoid any possible copyright issues
- contains the OpenSolaris wordmark colors (Orange: #E76F00, Blue: #5382A1)
- is no bigger than: 500x 200 pixels
- does NOT contain the OpenSolaris wordmark
- is in PNG, GIF or JPG formats
New artwork will be up from 6 - 12 months or, if we have a lot of
submissions, we can circulate them.
