What kind of console device are you using? PS/2 keyboard; USB; serial port? Is the X11 server running? Did you try to boot with kmdb (boot Solaris with option "-k"), and when it hangs, try to type: "F1-A" to enter kmdb run the command "$<systemdump", to write a crashdump and reboot Is it possible to enter kmdb when the machine hangs, by typing "F1-A"?
