If I did understand things correctly, then Sun likes that java is redistributed by OpenSolaris distributions. If I remember correctly, java needs libC.

Java cannot be distributed in a way that makes it executable in the LiveCD environment.
  That is why BeleniX just includes the JDK install bundle on the LiveCD.
