Seems like problem with dma,
quite similar problem I had trying to install Ubuntu, I had to add

cdrom-detect/cdrom_hdparm=-d1

in the boot loader command line when booting.

In Solaris you can try adding

-B "acpi-cd-dma-enabled=0"
