This (i.e., Windows is easy to install) is true only to a very limited extent. Out of the Windows box, the only thing that's useful is Internet Explorer. Most Windows users have to dole out extra cash to buy a bunch of other software programs including Microsoft Office in order to make their Windows boxes do some work. Wrt Office, Microsoft has a very strict registration policy. Most people ignored to read the fine print (& thus failed to register). They would become puzzled when their Office suddenly went kaput after 60 days. Strangely enough, many had no idea of what went on and thought that it must be themselves who had screwed up somewhere.
