If we can build up trust among us day in day out, can we call
ourselves even a community?
We might as well call ourselves a open corporation.
Ghee, please don't conclude you are wasting your time, because that
isn't the case. Yes, we need to build up trust, and yes, that takes a
lot of effort and care from everyone involved. What we are doing here
is *extremely* difficult, and as far as I know hasn't been achieved by
any other community - certainly not on the same scale. I actually think
the community has made *great* strides in mutual understanding in the
last few weeks, and I'm hoping that it will continue. The participation
and contribution of people like yourself is vital if the community is to
flourish and grow.
Joerg, I know you have the best wishes of the OpenSolaris community
close to your heart, and you have contributed a great deal, for which we
are all grateful. However I respectfully and politely ask you to resist
the temptation to make accusations that aren't backed by substantive
evidence, because that damages the community that is clearly so
important to you.
Thanks,
