I'm sorry but this is why people deploy their own apt repositories .....
in a "mission critical" environment, you wanna take as many steps that
can go wrong out of the equation as possible. Simply issuing an
'apt-get' off your own repositories makes the potential problems far
less than fiddling with finding package X, getting it to the server,
figuring out whether the server needs dependencies updated, getting
those packages and updating them and then finally getting package X
installed.
