Would there be any downside in using TZ=localtime and zic to change the localtime, over manually setting a timezone (i.e "America/Chicago")? I need to consider time zones in all parts of the world.
What I am hearing about rtc is that if Solaris is the only OS on the PC, I don't have to worry about using rtc. By the way, thank you. I appreciate the quick response.
