What I've noticed is that it's pretty invasive on the host system. I was trying to watch a PAL resolution video with mplayer on Solaris while installing Office 2007 on the guest, the video on the host glitched a whole lot, including jittery mouse cursor. Those were things I didn't have with QEMU. I was using seamless mode though, so Windows was software rendering a 1600x1200 desktop, copying it over to the host and blending it with the X workspace. I suppose that causes some memory pressure and CPU times to be gone. I guess you have to draw a line somewhere for better guest performance. Hoping it gets optimized, though. -mg This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
