I made some progress with this. I had the wrong proxy server name. However in Mozilla I put the name in to the proxy server and use 8080 but it will not go out. If I put the IP in and use port 8080 it goes out just fine.
The cmd line to install openoffice wont work either Checked DNS forward and reverse lookups are OK. any idea on what would be the disconnect at the OS side?
