This happened to me when I first installed FF3 separately from any upgrade to OpenSolaris. That was probably on to b91 or so. It wouldn't take any imports and it didn't find my previous profile. I figured it was user error. :) All subsequent upgrades to OpenSolaris didn't affect my book marks, though.
