Give it up, dude. Linux on x86 is a red-headed stepchild.

You say buy more x86 servers. And what about the extra rack space which mean a
larger data center, and extra cooling, more electricity, etc. Certainly not
less expensive now that you you need to buy 5-1 or whatever number.

IBM has a Linux Technology Center, but they also have an AIX Technology Center.
Why would IBM spend millions developing AIX 7 if it intends to drop it? In
fact they have support for AIX almost to 2020!

Interesting you could not refute the facts of clustering, GFS, virtualization,
disk management, LVM, all being inadequate for use in Linux. And that you
cannot dispute the huge cost per server Red Hat charges that is free in AIX and
Solaris.

And that Linux doesn't have anything comparable to the few features I noted at
the end of my last message.

Also, purely from a security side, x86 is more vulnerable than other
architectures such as POWER and SPARC or mainframes.

But whatever dude. Hang tight to those eight year old articles.
