Hi, Umm, You dont need hardware RAID on OpenSolaris as You have ZFS. Probably you have some other OS on the PC that use the RAID. If not you can disconnect the RAID and attach the drives to SATA ports or whatever you have on that motherboard.
After you have installed Solaris you can set up a ZFS diskpool and Z-RAID the drives. This message posted from opensolaris.org
