I have done a few dozen by now, and I guess properly: (This is UFS, I leave out the options, since I can't retrieve them from that machine)
lofimount of image 103 to /mnt upgrading liveupgrade20 (in case it has changed) lumake nv99 lurename nv99->nv103 luupgrade nv103 -s/mnt Everything without a hitch here, at least without error message. Then logged off to console umount /mnt and lofi luactivate nv103 init 6 (This, by the way, confirms my suspicions and earlier results (failures at times), that the BEs are not independent. I still consider it a flaw that a liveupgrade touches files of the 'old' BE. Otherwise the former could never break.)
