Hmm, so they both have one primary fdisk partition. This disk uses fdisk partition id 6 (DOSBIG) and the problematic one uses id 11 (FDISK_WINDOWS). Does "fstyp -v /dev/rdsk/c3t0d0p1" recognize a "pcfs" filesystem for both disks? (I assume the fat filesystem is in the first fdisk partition, so that ...p1 is used) # fstyp -v /dev/rdsk/c5t0d0p1 pcfs Bytes Per Sector 512 Sectors Per Cluster 16 Reserved Sectors 1 Number of FATs 2 Root Dir Entries 512 Number of Sectors 0 Sectors Per FAT 246 Sectors Per Track 32 Number of Heads 16 Number Hidden Sectors 32 Volume ID: 0x0 Volume Label: MightyDrive Drive Number: 0x80 Media Type: 0xf8 "Fixed" Disk -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
