I installed opensolaris 2008.11 on my Thinkpad R52 with ATI X300 video.
Opensolaris recognized all the devices on my laptop, and installed the correct
drivers, including the ATI driver for the video.
The problem is I cannot get compiz (Appearance - Visual Effects) to work - it
tries for about 10 seconds and then gives up. The logs don't say much. I'm
not a computer newbie, but I am fairly new to Solaris; anything you can suggest
would be appreciated. I googled this subject and came up empty.
