hi, i have the same issue. it hangs after "use is subject to license terms",
ie i cannot eve boot into the live OS. the installer disc is ok, it works fine
on 3 other pcs. the dvd drive is ok too, tried that on a different pc. gave
the dvd drive a new cable, still no go. took the graphics card out and used the
onboard one- no go. gave the dvd drive an external power-supply to exclude
voltage drop- still no go. similar issues exist interestingly on the same pc
also with solaris 10/08 and belenix, they hang early on in the process,
sugesting a solaris software specific issue. the same pc has no issues
installing + running suse, mandriva, fedora, winXP, pcbsd, etc... the pc uses
intel e6300 cpu, 2x2gb kingston ram, msi g31m3-f motherboard, gainward geforce
8400 bliss 512mb graphics card, 250gb WD sata drive, pioneer 111d dvd drive
(just done the latest firmware update). i am at a loss as to what to try next.
any help/ suggestions would be highly appreciated!!
