For home use the first thing I always do with a motherboard is to disable any RAID controller.
There is however one thing that puzzles me, when browsing through the zfsadmin guide: On page 47: "If you create a mirrored disk configuration, multiple controllers are recommended." What do they mean by (multiple) controllers? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
