I've just installed the latest SXDE and I've got a problem with GNOME. If I choose GNOME from the login screen I get a little "EN" thing in the bottom righthand corner of the screen, then the X server resets and I'm back at the login screen again.
I tried doing a sys-unconfig as there was what seemed to be some sort of language chooser thing on all of the CDE windows which I hadn't seen before. That is now gone, but I still can't get GNOME to work - CDE seems to be OK, but some apps like "device allocation" die suddenly. What should I try next to get GNOME working? I'm running an nVidia 6100 graphics chip on a 64 bit kernel (Sempron 2800+) with the nVidia drivers if that helps. Thanks Andrew. This message posted from opensolaris.org
