More precisely (so as not to give the impression that 2008.05 isn't upgradable), there is no upgrade path from previous SXDE/SXCE releases to OpenSolaris 2008.05. Upgrading 2008.05 to new releases of OpenSolaris are already supported via pkg image-update. Cheers, -- Glenn
