Long story short:

Installed opensolaris 2008.05 on my T105 (Dell.)

Didn't have the Broadcom drivers, so I downloaded it and installed under BCME0.
So far so good.

I assumed after installing the driver that network would come online after a
reboot.
No such luck.

My router should be giving the system an address through DHCP.

However,

ifconfig -a shows

lo0
127.0.0.1

bcme
0.0.0.0

and

netstat -rn

both destination and gateway are 127.0.0.1

1) Not really sure what difference between lo0 and bcme0 is.
2) Not sure why DHCP isn't giving me an address
3) no idea how to configure DHCP on opensolaris end if I need to
4) no idea how to configure manually if I want to set a static address

Any ideas? I have a linux background in that I can follow guides and have setup
a number of servers, but opensolaris is still very much a mystery.

Thank you,
dave
