The NetWork AutoMagic ( NWAM) function is supposed to switch between Wireless and Wired interfaces . You are experiencing that NWAM is shutting down your wired interface because it somehow interprets the situation as if it has become offline. So can you tell us more about the wired interface. ? Is it connected to a HUB ? switch ? SOHO Router ? Is the speed / full /half duplex fixed or negotiable ? Which speed are you running at 10 Mbit ? 100 Mbit ? Do you have a Wireless interface in the computer ? Does it work with another cat5 cable or preferably a cat5e cable ? This message posted from opensolaris.org
