Where/how this is configured depends on your exact version/distro of OpenSolaris/Solaris Express, and on your exact version of the browser. Firefox 3.0 saves the HTTP proxy settings under EDIT -> Preferenes -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings. Firefox 2.0 was similar.
