[osol-help] Dual boot on the same hdd question

Not sure how you would > boot from cdrom and mark your solaris partition as 
active < . The boot record is probably still there only the last os installed 
will carry the active mark. The safest way would be to install another blank 
hardrive taking your sxde hardrive out or using ch0 slave slot or ch1 
slave/master slot. Reinstall windows and salvage all you can from first hd. I 
always installed windows first when dual booting.
