Hi All,
Thanks for the replies, I checked with the Sun device
detection tool and SATA controller is supported
Solaris Bundled Driver: pci-ide
Storage Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) 2 port
SATA IDE Controller
Solaris Bundled Driver: pci-ide Storage
Intel Corporation 82801IR/IO/IH (ICH9R/DO/DH) 4 port
SATA IDE Controller
only device not support detected is LAN card.
but still installation hangs right after displaying
copyright information in SATA mode set to IDE in BIOS.
when I change SATA mode to RAID in BIOS install stops
after displaying following error message
copyright information
Requesting System maintenance mode
(see /lib/svc/share/README for more)
console login service can not run
Root password for system maintenance(ctrl-D to bypass)
pls let me know anybody face this kind of issue and
solved and installed in Dell Vostro 200 system
I tried Solaris 10 X86 as well, it also hangs in
SATA-IDE mode and no disk found error in SATA-RAID
mode.
thanks again,
