Thanx for the pointer, but it's rather hard for me to check this. It's not my choice to use this hardware (I would rather use Sun hardware as I always do), someone else is selling it to a customer for us to install Solaris 10 and run our Intranet Server bundle. So I don't have my hands on this machine to check it.
Anyway I remember reading that IBM certified its systems to run Solaris, and I was surprised when I found no mention of it in the "supported systems" section of the specifications. Maybe I have a wrong remembrance.... I just hoped someone else had already checked these systems with opensolaris. Thanx a lot Gabriele. This message posted from opensolaris.org
