There is no single analogy to this file in (Open)Solaris. The execution infrastructure at boot time (especially now with SMF in the picture is far more complex. If you tell us the problem that you are trying to trace, we will try to help you diagnose it; and in the process you may learn more about what goes on in (Open)Solaris at various stages. Regards...
