I completely agree, the download page is VERY UNCLEAR. It assumes way too much, especially considering all the new tech involved (e.g. I only found out about Auto Install yesterday after talking to a Sun architect). At the very least, make it known that the Auto Install CD's are not bootable (just saying it's not a live CD doesn't imply non-bootable). Also make it clear that an x86 system is required to install the current release on SPARC. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
