Hi, I'm trying to build a vdi image in Vbox in order for a friend to test out the Sun Secure Global Desktop software and I elected to build this on OpenSol as opposed to Sol10 which I had as a demo in my setup before running on ancient SPARC systems.
The issue is that after the initial splash screen of OSol the screen just goes black totally and doesn't display anything?? I had this issue before I installed sgd on the system, however I sorted that by checking the .xsession-errors and Xorg.0.log files and a quick fix turned out to be creating the directory path ~/.config/etc/metacity/sessions after metacity..../.... was created the system worked without any issue at all. However now I had run the update manager to update the components and all I can't even get to the dtlogin page :-( My system is an Intel Core2Duo with host OS running in 64bit mode and OpenSol running in 32bit mode. I have 3GB RAM dedicated to OSol and 12MB VRAM.
