Point taken...:) I work in the database group at Sun Microsystems and want the machine to use for work (through vpn) and so I want a mid-range desktop that is beefy enough to keep me happy. I don't need to have dual boot with any other OS but I would like to play with some of the development tools etc.

Hi all, I want to buy a new computer and use it to install OpenSolaris and I'm hoping someone out there can point me to an internet site that sells a computer that has everything I'll need - hopefully without a Windows install that I'd be getting rid of anyway and would rather not pay for. And any advise on the actual install would be appreciated also. Thanks, Patty
Perhaps you might want to fill us in as to the number of processors, intended, use, etc. For a desktop, you can get a nice price on s Ultra 20. - Bart -- Bart Smaalders Solaris Kernel Performance [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://blogs.sun.com/barts _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
