I work in the database group at Sun Microsystems and want the
machine to use for work (through vpn) and so I want a mid-range
desktop that is beefy enough to keep me happy. I don't need
to have dual boot with any other OS but I would like to play
with some of the development tools etc.
I use an Ultra20 look-alike at home. This works well. You can
of course get these at a discount as you work for Sun. Mine
has a 2.6Ghz dual core; I blogged on my config (which is also
the household server) on my blog recently.
