Hey Mark- I am using the same SATA card.
I plugged a new drive into it, into port 5 with an existing 4 disk raidz. I rebooted, and the drive appeared no problem. It even remembered that it was half of an old storage pool (mirror fortunately) so I cannot say that I am having the same problem. I, however am still on build 74, and am also running in 64 bit mode . Sorry I cannot help.
