Hi! I'm having problems booting live CD. This is my computer: Acer Aspire 7720G-813G32Bn, BIOS 1.45 with virtualization hack Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 2+2 GiB of RAM GeForce 9500m GS AU Optronics B170UW01 V0 display Intel 4965AGN Broadcom BCM5787M Gigabit Ethernet Optiarc BD-ROM BC-5500A BD-ROM drive WDC WD3200BEVT-22ZCT0 hard disk SB X-Fi for notebooks internal Broadcom bluetooth
Here is what happens: I get to grub, select some option (same problem happens for all avaliable options), I get white dots then SunOS 5.1 header, some text scrolls to fast for me to understand it (among the text there appears to be a matrix of hexadecimal numbers???). Then I get the syncing file systems... done message. Then computer reboots. The problem is same as the one described here: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=420514 Computer similar to mine are described here:http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/data/systems/details/11511.html and herehttp://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/data/systems/details/16734.html My laptop worked with some older version of opensolaris and solaris, but I can't remember which. I was able to use the same disc to install opensolaris in a virtual machine without problems, so it probably isn't bad media. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list
