Because when you edit boot options using grub, they are not saved. Next time
the system starts it will use default settings. So you need to change the
default settings. You can do that by editing menu.lst file. I think that it is
in /rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst on newer solaris versions or it could be in
/boot/grub/menu.lst .
Put needed options in kernel line there and they will be saved. You can do
this by starting terminal and typing su to use substitute user and became root.
Then type gedit and use it to open menu.lst. If gedit does not work, you can
try using nano, which is also easy to use, but it does not have graphical user
interface.
