I exported source, because that's what the Open Software Foundation did.
I worked on DCE, an authenticated/secure RPC system that used
Kerberos. I also worked on ActiveX port to Unix, which used various
MS crypto combinations.
Boy, did you get lousy extremely-overly-conservative advice. IMHO.
