WRT win32 builds -
The compiler / linker flags and directives need a good going over. I
have a feeling some may be already deprecated by MS. Most of these
have been carried through since 0.4/0.6 days. Additional ones will be
need soon - especially "NO_CRYPTO" to avoid conflicts with MS runtime
"crypto" implementation within thw win2k SDK. "EXTRA_LEAN" may do it
as well - if it's still around.
Believe it or not, 0.9.5a is the first build EVER to run to completion
for all possibilities on win32 - given the current flags - and the 12
build possibilities.
Question - has anyone attempted a win32 default build off a recent
cvs or snapshot. I tried about 10 days ago - and it bombed miserably
(numerous times). This was right about the time that Steve was doing
the EVP rearrangement so that may have been a contributing factor and
I was leaving for a vacation and never returned to it.
I'll have a look through the directives and also windows.h on a
win2k/vc6 machine at work to see what's up in the low level. I need
to do it anyways for some housecleaning on the devstudio workspaces
and projects that i've been maintaining in preparation for the next
release, which is scheduled for when??
Regards,
Andrew Gray
