I've done the same thing now for the 1.0.1 branch, which is published here: https://github.com/openssl/openssl/pull/168 I've also updated PR 106 to be up-to-date wth the current stable 1.0.2 branch. I can do this for the other supported stable branches if that would be useful. If there's no interest in applying these changes to stable branches, please say so. --dkg
