I haven't been on this mailing list earlier, so I can only guess what
Sameer's reasons are. However, given earlier discussions I've had with
him regarding my ssh patches, I think my guess would probably be correct.
If you look at the number of contributions that have been made over the
years to SSLeay from people in the US, I think you'd have to come to the
conclusion that SSLeay has already incorporated code that has, in Sameer's
opinion, questionable origin. So SSLeay (or now OpenSSL) would be no
more contaminated by adding my BSAFE support than it already was.
