Jakob, Thank you very much for your help! You have put the finger on the source of the problem I think.
See my clarifications below based on your remarks: > Please try the trace again with openssl s_client from each tested OpenSSL > version, to eliminate any issues in the curl code, such as the issues > discussed > in openssl-1.0.1e/CHANGES under the heading "Changes between 1.0.1a and > 1.0.1b [26 Apr 2012]". Thank you very much for pointing that out. I have recompiled curl 7.29.0 against openssl 1.0.1-e to be extra sure even if the last time it was built was earlier this month feb 11, 20013. I did use openssl s_client -connect aur.archlinux.org:443 -debub instead of curl. The message format is slightly different than the one formatted for curl such as no ServerName extension but the size is still above 255 and still the same problem: (322 bytes => 322 (0x142)) The whole output is below. > > > with openssl 1.0.0.e (on ubuntu) : Protocol version used: 3.1 > > Note: Protocol field 3.1 == TLS 1.0 > > Note: Record length not reported in e-mail > 226 bytes > > > > with 1.0.1.d: Protocol version used: 3.2 > > Note: Protocol field 3.2 == TLS 1.1 > > Note: Record length not reported in e-mail 244 bytes > I will play with OPENSSL_MAX_TLS1_2_CIPHER_LENGTH to see if I can fix my problem. Thank you very much! Olivier ________________________________ CONFIDENTIALITY : This e-mail and any attachments are confidential and may be privileged.
