I'd suggest: CentOS 6.3/RHEL 6.3 + KVM + OpenStack Essex, you may replace CentOS with Ubuntu/Fedora if you want. If you are big fan of Xen or having huge legacy PV VMs, you might want to try XenServer + XenAPI + OpenStack Essex.
