However, you can try to reduce the image size, so the first image fits on the page. I have to admit, there are some areas in the XSLT stylesheets that are problematic for FOP. When I wrote these stylesheets, FOP couldn't handle lots of XSL-FO issues. Luckily this situation has improved and the latest version is much better, although there are still some problems.
