I installed $SUBJ on two computers, i found some "rough" edges.
Installation:
Graphical installtion start with broken mouse [#206446]
During package update yast force me to uncheck locked packages one by one
[#206453]
During hw detection (before starting to installation) popup window showd up
with "HW detected should i load module ....." - i was not sure what i should
do, so i "load" those modules, anyway very confusing.
I had serious problems with configuration of graphic card (ATI :( ). Yast
somehow preserve my old configuration ( i did update from 10.1) Which worked,
with exception that every aplication using aclereation freeze. I tried to
recreate xorg.conf using sax. But it faild [#206638]
I use KDE and i realy like new menu, but with some exception:
- it is not resizable (panel icon). So you had to have panel about 40px
height for proper look.
- menu pop up with mouseover should be configurable at least
( i found that when i turn of panel animation pop uping disapeard ...
magic?)
- when browsing trough all programs, there is nice animation between
moving
menu subfolders. It is nice at first look, but it slow down sometimes. I
think it should honor global KDE configuration (panel animation setting in
kcontrol)
Finally i have to say, SL10.2 A4 is much faster than 10.1 even when i have
beagle and zmd installed.
