No idea since when but it does for some time,
it has a uemacs buildin including elist support
where you can make your own inferface (also undocumented)

I just found that the feature is available since 2002 and you
can change the parameters in: c.lsp
The path in my system is: /usr/lib64/X11/xedit/lisp/progmodes
