There's nothing in the configuration that looks like that (see my earlier reply for a screen dump (if it shows OK)).If it is not connected, one can turn on "Use direct digital playback" in kscd. This will rip and play the CD in realtime. This is in fact the default playback type in Windows since XP.Charles
