Absolutely. In fact, some folks say that distributing attachments with
a list
server to the community at large is evil regardless of size. However, I do
see the benefit (from time to time, using reason) that someone might want to
attach a small photo, fax out, diagram or other on topic clip like some small
source snippet or something... but common folks... not hundreds of Ks. That's
just wrong. Some folks are still dialup attached (I know hard to believe) and
an attachment that size is just plain rude to those folks. IMO So the list
server needs some sort of final filter to prevent the abuse.
