Yea right. The modem works in my Thinkpad when I place the HD with Mandrake 10.1 on it in the computer but when I place a different HD with a different OS such as OpenSuSE 10,2 on it in the same Thinkpad the modem does not work. This issue has been discussed here very dramatically several times here in the past.
